Chemical Spill Training Module 3 Activity

In this activity, you will identify a chemical in your workplace and use what you have learned in this module to assess how it should be handled in the event of a spill. You will consider its physical state, storage location, classification, and the PPE and spill kit available in your area. This exercise will help you connect the module content to a real situation in your own workplace.

Before you begin:

  • You may use the same chemical you selected for the Module 2 activity, or choose a different one from your work area.
  • Head to your nearest chemical storage area and identify one container that you regularly handle, move, or work near.
  • Take note of the chemical name, its physical state, and where and how it is stored.
  • Have the container or its label in front of you before answering the questions below.

Note: Your answers to this activity will be reviewed by your supervisor or trainer as part of your module completion.
