The correct classification of dangerous goods is an important first step in the transport of dangerous goods. It determines whether the substance or article falls under one of the nine UN (United Nations) Hazard Classes or if it is non-hazardous for transport but may come under some other regulation that might affect the way you identify, pack, Mark/Label/Placard and Declare.

The opportunity

With Specialists based in a variety of locations, our professionals work with clients to ensure compliance and safety in the area of transportation of Dangerous Goods. Increased demand has resulted in our new search for a self-directed and experienced Regulatory Compliance Specialist to work in the Greater Seattle Area including Everett and Renton.
Reporting to the Northwest Regional Manager, you will be given extensive training and become a vital resource to our client. As the onsite expert, you will be relied upon to provide guidance on national and international regulatory and logistical compliance, delivering knowledge and interpretation of both European & American regulations to facilitate the safe and fluid transport of materials by air, surface, and vessel.

Trident’s on-site training program focuses on the adult learning models and includes on-going training and education to ensure our employees are fully capable of performing tasks and continuing to grow as Dangerous Goods Specialists.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • 2+ years of Regulatory Compliance, Fulfillment, DG Shipping, or similar experience
  • Ability to travel to client and work flexible hours
  • Outstanding team player with solid communication skills and a can-do attitude
  • Extremely comfortable with technology including MS Office and Adobe
  • IATA, IMDG, 49-CFR qualifications (preferred)
  • DGSA qualification (preferred)

Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour depending on experience
